Zach Collaros leaves Banjo Bowl in fourth quarter with injury

WINNIPEG — Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Zach Collaros exited Saturday’s 32-27 Banjo Bowl victory against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers with an injury and did not return.

The 30-year-old quarterback was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter after taking a hit from Winnipeg defensive back Jeff Hecht. Collaros was ruled out for the remainder of the game after being placed in concussion protocol.

Brandon Bridge came in at quarterback for Saskatchewan as the Riders went on to win their first Banjo Bowl trophy since 2014.

Collaros had completed 13 of 24 passes for 173 yards and an interception before leaving the game.
