Sights, Sounds and Social: Mark’s #LDWeekend

Let’s take a journey around the league to see the best social from Mark’s Labour Day Weekend.

Montreal at Ottawa

The Alouettes stunned Ottawa, and had some fun on social in the process.

Mike Sherman showed more emotion than we’d seen in the first 11 weeks of the season combined following his team’s win.

The LumberJoes, an Ottawa super fan duo that attends every REDBLACKS home game, were a little salty about the loss.

Legendary receiver Nik Lewis also praised Als offensive coordinator Khari Jones — whom he’d criticized earlier in the season — for his playcalling.

Winnipeg at Saskatchewan

Nick Marshall and the Riders delivered a serious blow to the Bombers in the Labour Day Classic, and the Mosaic Stadium faithful were appropriately loud.

Country star and Saskatchewan’s own Jess Moskaluke rocked the halftime show.

In case you didn’t know: That was a pretty big win for the Riders.

Edmonton at Calgary

Some familiar faces from the Fun Police were on ‘patrol’ at McMahon Stadium.

The Stamps walked it off in memorable fashion, with special teams hero Rene Paredes earning a game ball.

Toronto at Hamilton

Former Ticat Bakari Grant — currently a free agent — chimed in on Twitter prior to Monday night’s Battle of the QEW, proving that old rivalries die hard.

Hamilton rock heroes Monster Truck brought down the house at Tim Hortons Field, playing their hearts out in front of the hometown crowd.

After Ticats receiver Jalen Saunders left the game with a reported MCL injury, players began to reach out on Twitter to offer their support.

Despite the Ticats’ win, Argos fan Gareth Bush took the real W on Monday night with this phenomenal, Patrick Roy-inspired tweet.
