Sights, Sounds and Social: Week 11

Week 11 marked the halfway point in the Canadian Football League season, and as per usual, fans were treated to exciting contests across the league.

Hamilton 25, Edmonton 24

The Ticats walked off Edmonton on the night of Joe Montford’s induction on the Wall of Honour, and it was a special one in Hamilton.

And, in case you didn’t know, Hamilton linebacker Larry Dean is a pretty solid guy.

Montreal 25, Toronto 22

Antonio Pipkin threw for over 300 yards and helped lead the Als to a surprise victory over Toronto on Friday night,

Needless to say, the early-season cut gained a number of admirers on social.

Kudos to Montreal media member Joey Alfieri for unearthing this gem.

Calgary 39, Winnipeg 26

The Bombers actually led for 39-odd minutes before the Stampeders turned on the jets in the second half to ease to victory.

Let’s talk about this cute-as-a-button family shot of the Mitchell family, though.

Also: Always nice to see fans from different teams connect at CFL tailgates.

Saskatchewan 24, BC 21

The Riders ground out a defensive victory in Vancouver over the Lions, and continued to climb the West Division standings in the process.

In case you didn’t know: Riderville travels well.

Put ‘em on a poster, @devonbailey905.

Momentum Riders, no doubt about it.
