Williams went down in the third quarter of Hamilton’s win over the Edmonton Eskimos Thursday night on a play that looked seemingly harmless. With the Ticats driving, Williams came out of his break and fell on his own without contact from an Edmonton defender. He was carried off the field by teammates and did not return.
The Tiger-Cats have yet to confirm the extent of the injury or what the recovery timetable is.
