CFL Game Time: Hamilton Edition

It’s week 11 in the CFL and it marks our last CFL Game Time on the road! The first part of the season has been a blur of airports, stadiums, games and fans…and don’t get it twisted – it’d been the best. This week we were in Hamilton again, which meant it was close to home for most of our crew. We spent Wednesday, walk through day, at Tim Hortons Field grabbing interviews with the Cats and Eskimos. I was able to get a 1-1 interview with Mike Reilly which you can watch below. Mike and his wife Emily welcomed their second daughter into the world on Monday, baby Cadence Isla Reilly – and I chatted with Mike about trying to juggle such a huge milestone with preparing for the game. He is a true gentleman and also rocks a three piece suit and a hat pretty well. Emily, once again crushed the outfit selection.

Thursday meant GAME TIME! Our crew had a meeting to go over final details for the new format of the show which you guys will see next Thursday and then we were off to the stadium. Chezy and I were thrilled to have Shamawd Chambers on Game Time this week and he provided a super unique persepctive. We rarely get to speak with players who are on a team who are prepared to breakdown a mathcup. We both loved having him on the show and hope he will join us again soon!

Big shoutout to our Game Time crew!! This is the dream team who made this show a reality. We have dreamt of doing a pre-game show ever since I started working with the league and having it come together this season, travelling the country, hanging with you guys and getting to interview players before the game was huge. But the thing is…it doesn’t happen without all these people who make Davis and I look smart and make all the streaming run smoothly. They are true pros and incredible people…love them all. THANK YOU!

Then it was game time! A PERFECT night for football in Hamilton and I am sure Ticats fans were thrilled with the outcome. I was glad to see another super close Thursday night game after a bit of a slow start early in the season. Thank you guys for tuning in and being such huge cheerleaders and supporters of Game Time! We have loved travelling this amazing country and showing off gamedays from across the league. I hope we have been able to give you a window into what each city is like – it has been our absolute pleasure. See you next Thursday, a little different – but I promise, just as fun.
