TSN CFL Fantasy: Who won Week 8?

Rolling the dice on a quarterback starting his first career CFL game proved to be worth the risk.

Week 8’s TSN CFL Fantasy winner, Tony400, picked Toronto’s McLeod Bethel-Thompson (31.5 points) this week on his way to fantasy glory.

The Argos pivot threw for 302 yards, four touchdowns and an interception while also adding six carries for 54 yards on his way to leading Toronto to their second win of the season.

Take a look at the rest of Tony400’s roster:

Tony400 also went with another Argonaut, running back James Wilder Jr. (21.5 points). Wilder Jr. rushed 17 times for 73 yards and added four catches for 42 yards and a touchdown in Toronto’s comeback win over the Ottawa REDBLACKS.

Edmonton’s C.J. Gable (15.3 points) took up Tony400’s second running back spot. The Esks tailback ran the ball 14 times for 81 yards and a major score and added a two-yard catch in his team’s win over the Roughriders.

Diontae Spencer (38.7 points) and Duron Carter (15 points) were in Tony400’s two receiver spots. Spencer had a huge game for the REDBLACKS, catching eight passes for 145 yards and a touchdown while also adding a return major to go along with 104 return yards. Carter, in his return to the Riders offence, caught three passes for 59 yards and a TD.

Tony400’s final two spots were Tiger-Cats – Jalen Saunders (28 points) and the Ticats defence (22 points). Saunders hauled in 150 yards and a touchdown on seven catches in the Ticats win over Montreal. However, it was the team’s defence that stole the show, allowing just 11 points and collecting two sacks, four interceptions, one fumble and a touchdown.
