REGINA — Zach Collaros has officially been named the starter for the Roughriders this week, as confirmed by the team’s depth chart released on Wednesday.
Collaros was taken off the team’s six-game injured list early this week. Initial reports from head coach Chris Jones indicated that the 29-year-old pivot would not be ready to return until Week 10 but after practice on Tuesday, Jones said that Collaros would ‘certainly play a bunch’ in Thursday’s game against the Eskimos.
In the two contests that Collaros has played in this season, he’s thrown for 309 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Defensive back Nick Marshall will make his return this week meaning Duron Carter will be making his return to the offence and was listed at slotback.
