Eskimos release receiver Giovanni Aprile
EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos announced on Tuesday that they have released Canadian receiver and former Hamilton Tiger-Cat Giovanni Aprile from their roster.
The Queen’s alumni joined the Green and Gold in the off-season after signing with them as a free agent.
Previously, Aprile spent the previous four seasons with the Ticats, playing in 27 games and spending majority of his time on special teams.
The 29-year old did not play in any games for the Eskimos this season.
