Week 7 had a bit of everything; highlight-reel plays, kickers galore and even Twitter beef between teams.
Let’s take a look at the view from social.
Thursday | Edmonton 44, Montreal 23
While the Alouettes got off to a decent start, the visitors pulled in front early in the second quarter and never looked back.
TOUCHDOWN!!!
Vernon Adams Jr. scores from the 1 yard line.

Montreal had stated earlier in the week that newly-acquired QB Johnny Manziel would see the field.

Contrary to earlier statements and the general belief that Manziel would get in for a series or two with a special package, the Texas A&M product did not take a snap.
Instead, Mike Reilly and the Esks offence put on a clinic.

Friday | Winnipeg 40, Toronto 14
As lopsided as Thursday Night Football turned out to be, Friday’s game was even more one-sided: Winnipeg never gave Toronto a chance.
Jovan Santos-Knox went full beast mode with a trio of sacks in the win.

The game featured that awesome aforementioned Twitter beef between the accounts, as Winnipeg went to town on the Argos’ ‘Toronto vs. everybody’ marketing slogan.

Saturday | Ottawa 21, Hamilton 15
Saturday’s afternoon game turned out to be a defensive battle, with neither team taking hold of the game until the fourth quarter: rookie Ottawa kicker Lewis Ward went a ridiculous 7-for-7 on field goals to secure the win for the REDBLACKS.
Just checked the stats. Wow. Shoutout to Lewis Ward. Kid is having an incredible start to his career! #CFLGameDay

Who had Lewis Ward and Anthony Cioffi as the key players before the game? Defence and Special Teams gets it done. First place! #RNation

Ottawa’s fans travelled well to Hamilton, and were rewarded with some one-on-one face time with players following the win.

Saturday | Calgary 34, Saskatchewan 22
Saturday night’s western battle did not disappoint, as the Stampeders raced out of the blocks to a 24-0 first-quarter lead, only for the Riders to claw back and make a game of it in the second half.
As per usual, Mosaic Stadium was packed and loud — especially after an Ed Gainey interception swung momentum toward the hosts.

But Calgary’s defence won the day, dominating all four quarters and limiting the Riders to just 247 total yards and zero offensive touchdowns.
