TORONTO — A quarterback, a running back and a receiver are this week’s Fantasy locks.

Pat Steinberg, Jeff Krever and Hannah Nordman weighed in with their locks and bargain picks this week on the CFL Fantasy Podcast, led by Jeremiah Masoli, William Powell, and D’haquille Williams.

Powell finds himself on the radar for the second week in a row, drawing what some believe is a favourable matchup against the Ticats’ run defence — one that allowed an 80-yard touchdown run to Marcus Thigpen the previous week.

“He’s going up against a Hamilton team that gives up a lot of rushing yards and a lot of rushing touchdowns,” said Steinberg. “This matchup could be absolutely prime for points. Twenty-plus points for Powell, he’s going to be closer for 100 yards, he’s going to be good for a touchdown again.”

Masoli, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back after a season-low 7.8 points vs. Saskatchewan, a notion Krever is fully on board with.

“He’s due for a bounce back,” he said. “There’s no sugar coating it, he had by far his worst game in his tenure as a starting quarterback last week but that’s going to be a high-scoring game, I love the weapons there, June Jones is going to put him in a position to succeed.

“The way he’s played so far, he’s got four touchdowns and five interceptions, I think there’s going to be a statistical correction. Jeremiah Masoli good for 30-plus points this week.”

Nordman, meanwhile, is looking to exploit a Montreal defence that’s had no answer against opposing star receivers this season, especially slotbacks. Williams and the Eskimos are projected to have a big week.

“I’ve loved having the Walker-Williams double threat in my lineup but now that they’ve reached the point where the two of them combined cost more than Reilly, I have to pick between them,” said Nordman. “Duke Williams has put himself above Derel Walker. I think he’s good for another 20-plus point game as he’s had the last four weeks.”

In addition to weekly locks, the podcast crew also submits weekly bargain picks. Both locks and bargain picks are summarized below.
