For Pat Steinberg, a big chunk of his Week 3 production could come Thursday night, when the Calgary Stampeders host the Ottawa REDBLACKS in one of the most highly-anticipated games on this week’s slate.
Steinberg will roll with Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell ($8,162) for yet another week with what he considers a can’t-miss Fantasy selection.
“He remains criminally under-priced in this league!” said Steinberg. “I still can’t believe how we’re talking about him at $8,100. He just torched the Toronto Argonauts who were supposed to be one of the CFL’s best defences. I don’t know what the money makers are not seeing in Bo Levi Mitchell.
“I know he had a rough year last year, but he’s still one of the best statistical quarterbacks in the game and for that price I can’t say no. Knowing the fireworks that Calgary and Ottawa always seem to put on display, knowing what he’s done so far, I don’t know how I can not put Bo Levi Mitchell in my lineup.”

While Steinberg locks in on the most popular quarterback choice among CFL Fantasy players in Week 3, Krever and Nordman are going a little off the board with their money picks.
Chris Rainey ($6,647) and Terry Williams ($4,562) aren’t the lead backs for their respective teams, but their impact on special teams and their potential for big plays make both players low-risk options with extremely high potential.
“Love the speed, love the ability,” Krever said of Rainey. “I had him in Week 1 and he didn’t have any big, explosive plays yet he still put up points just because of the multi-faceted approach to the game.
“I think he gets loose a couple of times against this Eskimos front-seven and against a little bit of an inexperienced secondary with the injuries they’re dealing with. I think he breaks at least one big one and gets a few catches as well.”
Nordman, meanwhile, isn’t scared off by the committee in Calgary, where Don Jackson appears to be the lead back. Still, with the help of an electrifying punt return touchdown, Williams accounted for 20.3 Fantasy points in a blowout win over the Argos in Week 2.
“The ball is always in his hands,” said Nordman. “He’s picking up points for rushing, receiving, punt returns and kickoff returns. It seems like he’s always on the field.”
