Which touchdown celebration was the best through Week 2?

Last week the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Montreal Alouettes touchdown celebrations went head-to-head and the Riders came out on top.

80 per cent of you decided that you liked the Roughriders’ sway better than the Montreal Alouettes’ camp fire.

There were quite a few celebrations to choose from this week but I decided to go with one from the Ottawa REDBLACKS to challenge last week’s winner.

Just as a reminder of the Riders’ celly, it was second-and-nine and the Riders were knocking on Toronto’s doorstep on the Argos 14-yard line. Collaros tossed a dart to Namaan Roosevelt who snagged the major score in the end zone.

Then the magic happened.

Roosevelt, Duron Carter, Jerome Messam, Caleb Holley, Josh Stanford and Jordan Williams-Lambert immediately gathered, put their arms around each other and swayed in unison together.

Now for the Ottawa REDBLACKS.

It was midway through the third quarter on second and four at midfield. Trevor Harris aired it out to Diontae Spencer, who was being covered by none other than Duron Carter. Spencer beat the receiver-turned-corner and stayed inside the lines to run it into the end zone for the score.

Spencer is known for his touchdown celebrations – everyone remember the limbo or the proposal? – but it was who celebrated with Spencer that was my favourite part of the week.

Harris ran full speed down the field to meet up with the self-proclaimed Celly King to do The Shoot Dance in unison with him. When quarterbacks get in on the celly’s they, in my opinion, get 100 times better (remember when Kevin Glenn led the Conga line last year? Incredible.) and this one was no exception.

Take a look near the end of this video:
