TSN CFL Fantasy: Who won Week 19?

Week 19’s TSN CFL Fantasy winner racked up the highest total so far this season – 178.1 points – thanks to big nights from quarterbacks, running backs and receivers. Oh, and not to mention a record-setting performance from one receiver/return man.

Sandwishes rolled with the hot connection of Hamilton quarterback Jeremiah Masoli (34.2 points) and Brandon Banks (32.2 points) on their way to winning the week.

Masoli threw for 438 yards and four touchdowns in his team’s loss against the REDBLACKS while Banks caught 13 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns. Banks also had 23 return yards on the night.

Sandwishes went with the bargain Trent Richardson (24.7 points) in Week 19 and it paid off big time for them. Richardson rushed 20 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns in Saskatchewan’s win over the Alouettes.

Week 19’s winner also went with two other Roughriders – Caleb Holley (14.3 points) and the Riders defence (9 points). Holley got into the offence this week in place of Naaman Roosevelt and Duron Carter (who started at cornerback for the second week in a row) and caught three passes for 83 yards and a touchdown. Saskatchewan’s defence held the Alouettes to just 12 points and collected three sacks and one interception.

Sandwishes picked Chris Rainey (35.9 points) in their second running back spot and Rainey did not disappoint. The speedster contributed on offence and special teams, rushing 16 times for 106 yards and also catching six passes for 89 yards and a touchdown. He also collected 109 return yards in his team’s win over Winnipeg.

And finally, Sandwishes cashed in on Diontae Spencer’s record-setting night. Spencer (27.8 points) racked up 496 all-purpose yards – breaking a CFL record for the most all-purpose in a single game. He caught nine passes for 133 yards and also tallied 363 return yards. Talk about a big night.
