TORONTO — While his late-season struggles have been well-documented, Trevor Harris is in the process of re-writing the book on his career.
The second-year REDBLACKS quarterback is healthy and playing some of the best football of his career, winning all three of his starts in October and putting Ottawa in a position to win its third straight East Division title.

Harris’ next start will be a post-season game — the first of his career — but for now, he’s found a spot in the top-three of our quarterback index.
Elsewhere, Matt Nichols and Bo Levi Mitchell continue to drop after losing their second consecutive starts. The Bombers and Stampeders both need to re-discover their game before the playoffs get started, although Nichols may not be available when the two sides clash in the season finale.
Finally, Brandon Bridge and Kevin Glenn continue to fight for position, both on the field and in the ranking for the Green and White.
All that and more in the QB Index powered by Rockstar:
MIKE REILLY EDM
THIS WEEK: 1 | LAST WEEK: 1
Barring injury, Mike Reilly will finish first in the league in passing yards for the second straight season, making a strong bid for his first Most Outstanding Player honour. The veteran pivot has led his team to four straight victories, as the Eskimos appear to be peaking at exactly the right time heading into the playoffs.
RICKY RAY TOR
THIS WEEK: 2 | LAST WEEK: 2
The emergence of James Wilder Jr. in the Argos’ offence has no doubt aided Ricky Ray, who’s playing as well as he ever has at age 38. Already with his fourth 5,000-yard passing season, the CFL’s fourth all-time leading passer has a chance to cap off his storied career with both an MOP and, more importantly, another Grey Cup.
TREVOR HARRIS OTT
THIS WEEK: 3 | LAST WEEK: 5
Trevor Harris has never enjoyed success come the month of October — until now. The REDBLACKS’ franchise pivot has rewritten that well-stated narrative, throwing for 955 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions in three games this month. That 3-0 stretch could land Ottawa a home date in the Eastern Final.
BO LEVI MITCHELL CGY
THIS WEEK: 4 | LAST WEEK: 3
Bo Levi Mitchell bounced back nicely in Week 19, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a second straight loss and third of the season for the Calgary Stampeders. The reigning Most Outstanding Player has not enjoyed the type of success we’re accustomed to, although the most important measuring stick has yet to arrive.

MATT NICHOLS WPG
THIS WEEK: 5 | LAST WEEK: 4
After getting through most of 2017 relatively healthy, the injury bug has bitten hard in Winnipeg. That’s affected the entire team, including Matt Nichols, who’s suffered two separate injuries himself over the past few weeks. Nichols’ status is central to the Bombers’ playoff hopes when they play in the Western Semi-Final in two weeks.
JEREMIAH MASOLI HAM
THIS WEEK: 6 | LAST WEEK: 6
Jeremiah Masoli’s ranking probably doesn’t do justice for how well he’s played since taking over for Zach Collaros on Labour Day. The 29-year-old has four straight games of 300-plus yards, including a career-high 438-yard effort in a Week 19 loss to Ottawa. Masoli should be a starting quarterback in 2018, although where that happens remains to be seen.
JONATHON JENNINGS BC
THIS WEEK: 7 | LAST WEEK: 7
With nothing to play for, Jonathon Jennings has easily played his best football of the season the last two weeks, completing 55 of 71 passes (77.5%) with five touchdowns and only one interception. His 408-yard effort vs. Winnipeg was the third-highest of his career and third time over the 400-yard mark.
KEVIN GLENN SSK
THIS WEEK: 8 | LAST WEEK: 9
Just like on the field, Kevin Glenn and Brandon Bridge continue to jockey for position in the index. While Bridge can spark the Riders’ offence by moving the pocket, Glenn is a reliable veteran quietly enjoying a strong 2017 season with 25 touchdowns and 14 interceptions at age 38.
BRANDON BRIDGE SSK
THIS WEEK: 9 | LAST WEEK: 8
Brandon Bridge was called upon once again to change the pace for the Riders in Week 19, throwing for 124 yards and a pick on 10-of-15 passing vs. the Als. The last two weeks have tested the Canuck, who’s completed 20 of 34 passes (58.8%) for 257 yards, three interceptions and no touchdowns over that span.

MATTHEW SHILTZ MTL
THIS WEEK: 10 | LAST WEEK: 10
After operating at 72 per cent clip over his first 32 passing attempts, Matthew Shiltz failed to find a rhythm in his extended playing time vs. the Riders in Week 19. Shiltz could make his first career start vs. the Ticats this week, as many Alouettes look to secure jobs heading into the off-season.
DARIAN DURANT MTL
THIS WEEK: 11 | LAST WEEK: 11
Darian Durant may have played his last football of 2017 after exiting last week’s contest with what reports indicate is a possible knee injury. That would end what’s been a challenging first season for No. 4 with his new team, leaving questions as to what’s next for both sides heading into the off-season.
DOMINIQUE DAVIS WPG
THIS WEEK: 12 | LAST WEEK: NOT RANKED
The Bombers put their faith in Dominique Davis this off-season by rewarding him with an extension and naming him their No. 2 quarterback. But the 28-year-old has struggled in situations when he’s replaced Matt Nichols, completing 17 of 29 passes for 208 yards and failing to find the end zone. We may get to see him as a starter in Week 20 if Nichols can’t go.
DAN LEFEVOUR WPG
THIS WEEK: 13 | LAST WEEK: NOT RANKED
A year after capturing some lightning in a bottle during his time with the Argos, Dan LeFevour couldn’t replicate that success in Matt Nichols’ spot. The Bombers’ short-yardage quarterback completed just five of 12 passing attempts vs. BC, throwing two interceptions and failing to find the end zone in the process.
