Calgary running back Terry Williams left a lasting impression on the Fantasy owners who invested in the $2,500 needed to plug the Stampeders rookie running back into the lineup in Week 15. Filling in for injured Jerome Messam, Williams put a dazzling 35-point total in Friday’s 59-11 win over the Alouettes.

Williams rushed 16 times for 152 yards and three touchdowns, including a 45-yarder that capped off his starting appearance in what was only his third game as a pro. He also caught one pass for 14 yards to lead all players in a week that saw Hamilton running back C. J. Gable and Toronto receiver DeVier Posey join Williams among the leading backs and receivers.

Gable, who missed the previous week’s game at BC with a shoulder injury, returned to run through the Argonauts’ defence for a season-high 157 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries during Saturday’s 43-35 loss to finish with 27.7 Fantasy points. It was the third time in the last four weeks Gable hit double digits as he was starting to look comfortable in Coach June Jones’ Run ‘n Shoot attack (before being traded, that is).

Meanwhile, Posey, who didn’t have a catch in the Week 14 win over Montreal, delivered 22.4 FP as he caught two touchdown passes from Ricky Ray – including the game-winner in overtime – to help the Argos outlast the Ticats and win the season series. Posey pulled in seven catches for 104 yards while recording his second game this season of at least 20 Fantasy Points.

A trio of quarterbacks hit the 20-FP mark, although not including Calgary’s Bo Levi Mitchell, who put up 18.6 FP in just more than a half in Friday’s win over Montreal. Ray led all pivots with 24.2 FP after he threw for 330 yards and three majors en route to his 10th 300-yard game of the season. In the same game, Hamilton’s Jeremiah Masoli had his best Fantasy game of the year when he tossed a pair of touchdowns while throwing for 288 yards and adding 32 yards on five carries, ending with 22.7 Fantasy points.

Rounding out the trio was Edmonton’s Mike Reilly, who had his third straight week of at least 20 FP after throwing for 311 yards and two touchdowns and rushing four times for 32 yards, giving the Eskimos signal caller a total of 21.6 FP in Saturday’s loss to Winnipeg.

Two of the game’s top return specialists were among the four other running backs who hit double-digits in Fantasy production. Toronto’s Martese Jackson’s 92-yard punt return for a touchdown – his third return for a score this season – helped him finish with 16 Fantasy Points, while Saskatchewan’s Christion Jones’ electrifying 97-yard punt return for a touchdown led to his 14.5 FP output in the come-from-behind win over Ottawa. Winnipeg’s Andrew Harris put up 19.5 Fantasy Points in the win over Edmonton and Montreal’s Tyrell Sutton amassed 13.2 FP in the loss at Calgary.

Posey was one of nine receivers to score in double figures. Hamilton’s Brandon Banks had 16 FP, with Edmonton’s Brandon Zylstra (15.9) and Derel Walker (14.2), Jalen Saunders of the Ticats (12.1), Calgary’s Marken Michel (11.4), Ottawa’s Greg Ellingson and Armanti Edwards of the Argonauts (10.6 each) also among the group. Hamilton’s Luke Tasker’s 10.4 FP gave the Tiger-Cats three receivers who achieved the feat.
