Much has been said about the beauty of the new Mosaic Stadium and rightly so, the place is incredible. So when I first had the opportunity to visit Mosaic back in March during Mark’s CFL Week I was super pumped to see what all the talk was about but I was equally (…if not more) excited to take my first rip through the brand new Rider Store – tell me I don’t look exited…
As many of you know the Rider Store has been a point of admiration, pride, curiosity and fascination since I started working with the league in 2013. It inspired by first round -up of Rider gear in 2014 which I updated in 2016 which you can read here – indulge me, give it a read! Additionally it inspired this video Max and I put together at the old store last year.
So as my third trip to Regina approached last week I thought…why not do the Rider swag story in Regina and show you guys some of the new store AND highlight my favourite items this season. I CAN NOT do this place justice with a few photos, but I hope you’ll enjoy the 2017 edition of The 10 Pieces of Rider Swag You Didn’t Know You Needed! 9. I have a confession. I don’t own a multi-tool. Is this something everyone owns? Because how does the Rider Store sell not one but TWO of these! BBQ multi-tool for your tailgate and the bartender multi-tool for….your tailgate! Note, in searching for the links I’ve discovered they actually sell THREE multi-tools. True.
8. I like how this is kind of an insider shirt. Not a CFL/Rider fan? This shirt makes no sense. A Rider/CFL fan…this shirt is dope.
7. A tumbler from your favourite team is sort of a necessity in my opinion, so when I saw this tumbler I was love. RIDER EMOJI TUMBLER how is this a thing? Because Rider Store.
6. Throwback from my very first list in 2014 they are back, in person and better than ever. I give you – the Rider scrubs
5. The sports franchise bikini is as you know, not a new concept. However the Riders moved quick in 2017 choosing cut that was really trendy for 2017 (high neck halter) ladies you know what I mean!
4. Yes, this is a throwback from last season, but the suiting section at the store seems to have had a little expansion itself. Gentlemen of Rider Nation – let’s put the sport back in sport coat …hate me yet?
3. Sticking with the fascination of the RIDER EMOJI (!!! how is this a thing) here is the Rider emoji pillow. Several styles available – because of course.
2. If you are looking to buy me a gift this holiday season, I would like one pair of these dreamy, cozy, cloud-like socks, please. I can tell you right now, get these early as they are going to be SO popular.
- Did 2017 even happen in the Rider Store if they didn’t sell fidget spinners? The answer is no, so of course they do!
