HAMILTON — Despite trying to work his way back, Saskatchewan Roughriders receiver Duron Carter left Friday night’s contest against Hamilton with an ankle injury and did not return.
Carter got tangled up after making a reception and turning up field in the first quarter and left the contest. Word from TSN’s Matthew Scianitti indicated that he may return but did not make it back into the contest.

After the game, head coach Chris Jones said that Carter had a sprained ankle and was one of nine injuries suffered by his club in the contest. Another significant injury to Brandon LaBatte could be a bit more concerning. The veteran o-lineman limped off the field in the first half and returned only to exit again in the fourth quarter.
Despite the injuries, Saskatchewan escaped with a 27-19 win over the Tabbies.
Carter has 50 receptions on the year for 642 yards and eight touchdowns.
