TORONTO — The Montreal Alouettes and Ottawa REDBLACKS go head-to-head in this week’s Marquee Matchup.
Both teams have gone through some changes over the past week – the Alouettes dismissed its head coach Jacques Chapdelaine and defensive coordinator Noel Thorpe and the REDBLACKS lost its starting quarterback, Trevor Harris.
We’ll see on Sunday who can take those changes and turn them into a win.
The REDBLACKS are coming off a slim loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last week and will be looking for a win to keep a hold on the top spot in the East. Montreal, on the other hand, have lost four of its last five contest and needs two points to stay in the conversation in the East Division.
It’ll be up to Drew Tate to lead Ottawa this weekend as he makes his first start as a REDBLACK. Harris was placed on the six-game injured list after suffering an injury in Week 12.
Montreal will have a new boss behind the bench for the time being as general manager Kavis Reed will take over as interim head coach. Can he be the spark the Alouettes need to turn things around?
In this week’s CFL.ca Pick ‘Em Marquee Matchup, we’ll see who can take advantage of the changes. Who are you taking?
