Week 11 was all about the Roughriders as the arm of Kevin Glenn allowed receivers Duron Carter, Bakari Grant and Naaman Roosevelt to each cross the 100-yard mark. Fantasy owners who invested in Glenn were rewarded handsomely to the tune of a 27.4-point week that topped the field while his trio of pass-catchers were among 12 receivers who recorded double-digit output.
Glenn, who threw for 386 yards and three touchdowns in the Labour Day Classic victory against Winnipeg, crossed the 20-point barrier for the fifth time this season and for the second time in the last three weeks. He was one of just two pivots to record 20 Fantasy points this week as Ottawa’s Trevor Harris finished with 23.8 FP on the strength of 341 yards and three touchdown passes in the REDBLACKS’ 32-4 win over Montreal. Despite the Eskimos’ third straight loss, Mike Reilly fell short of 20 FP as he finished with 19.7 Fantasy Points against Calgary.
Speaking of the Stampeders, Bo Levi Mitchell’s up-down Fantasy season was on display. For the second time in three weeks, Mitchell failed to throw for a major and accounted for just 9.1 FP in the victory over the Eskimos. Still, his production wasn’t the lowest among the Week 11 starters as Montreal’s Darian Durant managed only 3.6 FP before being benched in in the Alouettes loss to the REDBLACKS.
While Mitchell struggled through the air, Calgary’s Jerome Messam thrived on the ground for Fantasy owners. The Stampeders’ steamroller scored twice against the Eskimos on his way to recording 18.1 FP, tops at the position. Messam’s backfield teammate, Roy Finch, also hit double-digits by scoring on a 90-yard punt return on Labour Day, marking the second time in as many years Calgary’s return specialist achieved the feat on the holiday. Finch put up 11.4 FP, the third time this season he hit double-digits.
Winnipeg’s backfield duo of Andrew Harris and Timothy Flanders also had double-digits in the Bombers loss to the Roughriders. Harris had 16.1 FP, while Flanders put up a season-high 14.7 FP as the pair combined for 17 receptions for 150 yards and a pair of majors from the arm of Matt Nichols. Hamilton’s C.J. Gable had his first double-digit game of the season, racking up 11.4 FP in the Tiger-Cats victory over the Argonauts, the team’s first of the year.
A familiar face topped the chart at receiver in the form of Edmonton’s Brandon Zylstra, who caught nine passes for 127 yards and a touchdown in the loss to Calgary. Zylstra’s fifth 100-yard game of the season resulted in 18.7 Fantasy Points, allowing him to beat out Saskatchewan’s Roosevelt (17.9 FP) and Carter (17.3), while Grant put up 13.9 FP for Fantasy owners. Hamilton’s Brandon Banks was fourth among receivers this week, putting up 16.7 FP against Toronto, which saw DeVier Posey put up 16.7 Fantasy Points on the strength of his two touchdown receptions.

Not to be completely outdone by the Roughriders’ trio of receivers, Ottawa’s Greg Ellingson, Diontae Spencer and Joshua Stangby each hit double-digits in the win over Montreal. Ellingson had 14.9 FP while becoming the league’s first 1,000-yard receiver this season (later joined by Toronto’s S.J. Green, who had 10.3 FP in the loss to Hamilton). Spencer’s all-purpose talents led him to record 15.2 FP, while Stangby had his second game in double-digits with a 10.9 FP effort. Edmonton’s Kenny Stafford had his second double-digit contest in three weeks with a 12.2 FP outing in the loss to Calgary.
Calgary’s Anthony Parker touched the ball just three times, but his 24-yard touchdown run (his second straight Labour Day major) and two catches for 38 yards allowed him to hit double-digits for the first time this season with 12.2 Fantasy points.
