Sights, Sounds & Social: Marks #LDWeekend

The 1st weekend in the month of September took place a few days ago & of course that means: Labour Day Long Weekend!

Here at the #CFL, this weekend has special meaning as it means we get Great Football with the traditional rivalries to boot.

Marks #LDWeekend got started just before the official start of the weekend on Thursday Night.

East foes, Montreal & Ottawa re-acquainted themselves in La Belle Province.

The REDBLACKS came to play in this meeting:

The Als may have been thinking about getting an early jump on their Labour Day Weekend…

Our 2nd game of #LDWeekend was a meeting of two of the hottest teams in the league as the Bombers traveled once again to New Mosaic to try & knock off the Riders for the 2nd time this year. The Riders had other ideas in mind.

Getting the game started right.

The Riders wasted little time getting the fun going…

With the way the Riders were playing, they had good reason to celebrate:

This round goes to the Green and White.

Labour Monday brought about our traditions Battles: The “Battle of Alberta” & “The Battle of Ontario”

First up, Stamps & Esks in a fight for 1st in the CFL.

It didn’t take very long for a Jerome Messam sighting.

And then the Esks kicked the ball to Roy Finch… A BIG NO-N0.

Here’s why:

Talk about leaving a statement.

Our last game of Marks #LDWeekend was a traditional meeting in the Hammer between the Tabbies & Boatmen.

However, as the game was getting more intense, mother nature intervened.

After a lengthy delay, we returned to action & the Ticats were hungry to strike.

Just when it looked like the Ticats were going to get their 1st W…

However, there was still time on the clock:

What a way to cap off an amazing Marks #LDWeekend
