TORONTO — Former Ottawa REDBLACKS and Montreal Alouettes defensive back Mitchell White has been released by the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL after he was granted his release from the defending Grey Cup champions last January.
White began his career with the Als before being released in training camp last season. He was quickly picked up by the REDBLACKS and instantly became a mainstay in their secondary, helping lead the club to a championship.
Last season he had 38 tackles and three interceptions in 14 starts with the REDBLACKS.
