Eskimos sign former DB Muamba, add LB Steinhauer

EDMONTON– The Edmonton Eskimos sign former Green and Gold national defensive back Cauchy Muamba and national fullback Levi Steinhauer.

Muamba was a member of the Eskimos from 2014 – 2016 where he appeared in 40 games making 47 tackles and recording three interceptions. Muamba was a member of the 2015 Grey Cup winning team where made three tackles in the victory.

Muamba was drafted by the BC Lions in the fifth round (34th overall) and spent his first three seasons there playing in 33 games and recording 65 tackles and intercepting three passes. In 2013, Muamba was a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers where he appeared in 16 games and made 56 tackles and recording two interceptions.

Steinhauer has spent the previous four seasons in Saskatchewan. In 2013, Steinhauer appeared in 15 games where he recorded 11 special teams tackles and two forced fumbles. Steinhauer also was a member of the Grey Cup winning team where he recorded two special teams tackles.

Steinhauer was drafted by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2013 CFL Draft in the fifth round (40th overall).
