Games that count in the Canadian Football League are finally back. Quarterbacks around our country will have a heavy hand in deciding outcomes for every contest. So with that said yours truly will rank the league’s pivots based on their performances each week throughout the season.

1) Trevor Harris, Argos
Week 1 stats: 24-27, 347 yards, 3 TDs

Toronto’s fourth-year pivot threw the ball to all areas of the field impressively in Week 1.

2) Drew Willy, Bombers
Week 1 stats: 22-25, 325 yards, 3 TDs

Willy went into the toughest place to win on the road in the CFL and led the Bombers to victory over their rivals in Saskatchewan.

3) Darian Durant, Riders
Week 1 stats: 13-18, 165 yards, 2 TDs

After working back from a torn tendon in his throwing elbow, Durant came out sharp until he suffered a devastating achilles tear.

4) Bo Levi Mitchell, Stampeders
Week 1 stats: 22-35, 263 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs

It wasn’t Mitchell’s finest performance, but in clutch fashion he helped get the Stamps into range for the game-winning field goal.

5) Zach Collaros, Ticats
Week 1 stats: 27-38, 281 yards, 1 INT

A promising outing for Collaros was ruined by a pick-six that seemed to swing momentum in the game.

6) Henry Burris, Redblacks
Week 1 stats: 23-36, 263 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTs

Bad Hank made some questionable decisions with the football, but Good Hank put together a clock-eating three-minute and 47-second final drive that sealed a win.

7) Mike Reilly, Eskimos
Week 1 stats: 16-28, 170 yards, 1 TD

Reilly was decent, but did not have his team in a position to win even before he suffered a nasty-looking knee injury.

8) Kevin Glenn, Riders
Week 1 stats: 13-18, 120 yards, 1 INT

Once again Glenn proved he can produce when coming in cold off the bench. But he won’t have that issue to deal with anymore this season, Glenn is the starter in Riderville now.

9) Brandon Bridge, Alouettes
Week 1 stats: 5-10, 62 yards, 1 INT

Bridge did not take a single rep with the Alouettes’ offence leading in the season-opener, making his solid outing even more notable.

10) Jonathan Crompton, Alouettes
Week 1 stats: 5-17, 51 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

Montreal’s No. 1 quarterback to begin the 2015 season was inaccurate before suffering a shoulder injury that knocked him from the game.

11) Matt Nichols, Eskimos
Week 1 stats: 1-6, 8 yards, 1 INT

Nichols came in with Edmonton down 15 points with just over three minutes left, that’s a tough spot to be in.
