TORONTO — The Saskatchewan Roughriders have added another receiver to their offence after selecting Nic Demski out of Manitoba sixth overall in the CFL Draft.
Demski made 27 catches for 589 yards and five touchdowns in six games last year and also rushed for 47 yards on six carries. He ranked first in the CIS by averaging 21.8 yards per catch.
In addition to his duties on the offence, Demski also showcased his talents on special teams, returning 19 punts for 272 yards and a touchdown.
He was named to the CIS second-team all-Canadian and Canada West all-star teams as well as playing in the East-West Bowl.
At the CFL Combine, Demski posted the fastest time among all players in the 3-cone drill with a time of 6.91 seconds, .15 seconds ahead of second place. He ranked second amongst wide receivers (fifth overall) in the 40-yard-dash and second overall in the shuttle.
