TORONTO — The Montreal Alouettes have acquired another first-round pick in the CFL Draft after sending offensive lineman Ryan Bomben to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The Als get Hamilton’s eighth-overall selection as well as the Ti-Cats third-round pick (21st overall) in exchange for Bomben.
“Ryan is a talented, athletic and versatile player that can play three positions up front. Additionally, he gives our team ratio flexibility and is an outstanding individual that will fit well with our team,” said Tiger-Cats head coach and general manager Kent Austin in a statement.
Bomben was originally selected 31st overall in the 2010 CFL Draft and has spent his entire four-year career with Montreal. He has one career touchdown, hauling in a pass for a score in 2012.
Montreal also owns the fourth-overall pick in the draft.
