The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are excited to announce that internationally renowned rock group Monster Truck will play at halftime of their October 17th home game at Tim Hortons Field presented by Direct Energy.

In addition to their halftime performance, Monster Truck will take part in a pre-game photo session at the Direct Energy gate (Gate 5 – northeast corner) beginning at 5 p.m. Fans will be able to take a photo with the band and get an autographed picture for a small donation to McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation.

“Direct Energy was looking to make a splash on October 17 at the Direct Energy Game Day and we thought there was no better way than to bring Monster Truck home to Hamilton.  Direct Energy is thrilled that Monster Truck has agreed to assist in raising money for the McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation,” commented Kris Tessmer, General Manager of Rental at Direct Energy.

“We’re very excited that Monster Truck, an award-winning Canadian band with strong Hamilton roots, will be on hand to entertain our fans on October 17,” said Ticats President and COO Glenn Gibson.

Hamilton-based Monster Truck is one of the biggest groundswell stories in Canadian rock in the past few years with two #1 singles at Canadian Rock radio, a 2013 JUNO award for ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year,’ a 2014 JUNO award nomination for ‘Rock Album of The Year,’ plus 11 Hamilton Music Awards under their belt. Their full-length album Furiosity debuted at #13 on the Top 200 SoundScan chart, hit #3 on the German Rock/Metal chart and landed the band features in countless tastemaker publications.

Monster Truck’s unabashed dedication to creating killer riffs and putting every ounce of themselves into their show night after night, has created quite an impression not only with fans across the globe, but iconic rock bands as well.
