The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are proud to announce that a record crowd of close to 20,000 is expected at the inaugural concert at Tim Hortons Field.
One of the music industry’s most electrifying live performers, four-time Grammy Award winner and American Idol judge Keith Urban will headline the first ever concert in Hamilton’s brand new state-of- the art-venue, Tim Hortons Field on Saturday, September 27.
With less than 500 tickets remaining and sales well over 19,000, the Inaugural Concert on Saturday night will be the largest outdoor stadium concert in Hamilton in almost 40 years. The last two major stadium shows hosted in Hamilton were the Farewell to Ivor Wynne Concert featuring the Tragically Hip in front of just over 10,000 fans in 2012, and a concert hperformed by Rush in 1979 that drew 8,057 concertgoers.
“While the excitement and response to the Tiger-Cats football games at Tim Hortons Field has been overwhelming, this concert has proven to be a smashing success. To announce a major concert at a brand new venue and draw 20,000 fans in just five weeks is really incredible. I think it bodes extremely well for all sorts of great events in the future at Tim Hortons Field”, commented Tiger-Cats Chief Executive Officer, Scott Mitchell.
Limited tickets are still available for the concert at www.ticketmaster.ca or by calling the Hamilton Tiger-Cats business office at (905)-547-2287(CATS).
