The Tiger-Cats and Purolator are teaming up to support Hamilton Food Share as the Purolator Tackle Hunger food drive will take place at the Inaugural Game at Tim Hortons Field as the Ticats take on the Toronto Argonauts this Monday, September 1.

Ticats alumni and Purolator volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food items and cash donations at the Scotiabank and Pioneer Gates.

By donating to the Hamilton Food Share, fans will have the opportunity to take a photo with the Grey Cup and enter to win an autographed Ticats jersey.

Last season, the Tiger-Cats broke the all-time record by donating a whopping 220,500 pounds.  Earlier this month, the Calgary Stampeders set a new mark with a 258,000-pound contribution.

“I’m proud to be involved with the Purolator Tackle Hunger program and I know we have the most generous fans in the league,” said Ticats linebacker and Purolator Tackle Hunger spokesman Simoni Lawrence. “I personally challenge every fan to bring a non-perishable food item to the Labour Day Classic to help us break the record again.”
