Mossis Madu on expectations for Monday:
“It’s going to be fun. To tell the truth I didn’t even know Toronto was our rivals until like a few weeks ago. The men came and talked to us about the importance of the game I’m looking forward to it. I love rivalries.”
Delvin Breaux on Tim Hortons Field:
“It’s beautiful, I love it. Everyday I walk up there I have a smile on my face. I can’t wait to officially move in. Practice is going great, the intensity has been picking up with the guys, and we’re just ready to play.”
Breaux on defending Ricky Ray:
“Just keeping contain. He’s a very poised quarterback, he knows where his guys are going to be, so we just have to continue during our job and keep those check downs in lock and get after him.”
Breaux on Monday’s crowd:
“I can’t wait to see those fans out there. From the moment that we pull up to the stadium I’ll just be excited. I went to LSU and guys played before 97,000 so I can imagine 18,000 being pretty cool. I just can’t wait to play before them.”
Breaux on the intensity in practice:
“We only got one day in pads, but we made that day work because we know it’s going to be intense. It’s going to be hard hitting out there, some jawing going on between players and we just have to play the game. We want to come out hot, so we just have to keep playing from whistle to whistle.”
Craig Butler on the Ticats/Argos rivalry:
“I grew up watching it, I used to come to the games. I know what it’s all about. I know a little bit about it, it’s a lot different when you’re on the field. I’m looking forward to it, it’s going to be an intense rivalry, both teams are kind of in must win situations. So I’m looking forward to the intensity picking up.”
Butler on taking advantage of Toronto Argonauts turnovers:
“That’s what our plan is. I think it’s our plan every week. We try to capitalize on the offensive mistakes. We look at it as ‘takeaways’ not ‘turnovers’, its us taking the ball away from them, not them turning it over to us. It’s on the defence, we have to do our best to run to the ball, get to the ball, take the ball away, and give it back to our offence.”
Andy Fantuz on Tim Horton’s Field.
“It feels good. It’s nice to be in a big stadium and it looks great. There’s a lot of buzz around the stadium. It looks great, its bigger than you think, and the field is really nice. It’s definitely nice to be in the Hamilton core now, and I can’t wait until game day, with all the cars parked around, buzzing around it will be fun.”
Fantuz on pressure in the locker room:
“We know we have a good team and locker room. We obviously have to turn things around, but we have a stretch here with lot of divisional games, those are more important and as we still control our destiny. We’re only two games back and still in second place, so we just have to beat our division opponents and get on a little roll.”
Fantuz on playing with Zach Collaros at quarterback:
“It’s great I haven’t played with him before. I missed the first two games, when he was in there. I’m excited to get out there with him, he’s been throwing the ball really well, dropping back, making his reads, and he looks healthy. He looks back to himself, his character is back and his competitiveness is there.”
