Hamilton Tiger-Cats receiver/returner Brandon Banks has been named the Canadian Football League’s Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against the BC Lions last Friday night.
Banks returned four kickoffs for 86 yards and five punts for 116 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown in the second quarter. In five appearances this season, Banks has averaged 22.7 yards per kickoff return and 13 yards per punt return.
This is the second straight week that a Tiger-Cat has been recognized as Special Teams Player of the Week after Quincy McDuffie was acknowledged for his efforts in week 6.
