Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Dan LeFevour has been named the CFL’s Offensive Player of the Week following his stellar performance against the Ottawa REDBLACKS on Saturday.

In his first CFL start, LeFevour  created 470 yards of offence by completing 21 of 30 pass attempts for 361 yards and a touchdown while running for 109 yards and one rushing touchdown.

LeFevour is the first CFL quarterback to throw for 350+ yards and rush for 100+ yards since Buck Pierce on July 9, 2010.  He is just the seventh Tiger-Cats quarterback to rush for over 100 yards in a game, joining Bernie Faloney, Frank Cosentino, Chuck Ealey (three times), Ken Hobart, Damon Allen and Casey Printers.

LeFevour will make his second career start this Thursday, July 31, against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at McMaster University’s Ron Joyce Stadium.
