The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have signed international quarterback Jeremiah Masoli to a contract extension through the 2015 season, the team announced today.
Masoli ran for 61 yards and threw for 12 yards and a touchdown in limited action as the Tiger-Cats third-string quarterback in 2013.
The San Francisco native was acquired in a five-player trade with the Edmonton Eskimos on February 5, 2013. Prior to turning pro Masoli spent two seasons at Oregon (2008-09) and one at Ole Miss (2010), throwing for 5,930 yards and 42 touchdowns while rushing for 1,930 yards and 29 majors.
