Marwan Hage announces retirement

After 10 seasons in the Canadian Football League, offensive lineman Marwan Hage has announced his retirement from professional football.

Selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats with the 14th overall pick in the 2004 CFL Draft, Hage suited up in 141 regular season games and six playoff games over the course of his 10-year tenure. He established himself as one of the league’s most dependable interior lineman over his career, earning five CFLPA All-Star nods, two East Division All-Star awards and a spot on the CFL All-Star team in 2010. Hage was nominated as the Ticats Most Outstanding Lineman four times and was named the East Division’s top offensive lineman in 2010.

During the final season at Ivor Wynne Stadium in 2012, Ticats fans selected Hage as the top centre in team history as part of the All-Time Tiger-Cats Team.
