The Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has granted kicker Luca Congi’s request to be released.
“We’d like to thank Luca for his contributions to our team on the field and in our community. He was a true professional throughout his time in Hamilton and we wish him the best in the future,” said General Manager and Head Coach Kent Austin.
Congi, who joined the Ticats as a free agent on March 22, 2012, connected on 67 of 91 field goals in two seasons. He was slated to become a free agent on February 11.
