Two Hamilton Tiger-Cats have earned CFL Player of the Week honours after playing key roles in the team’s victory in Edmonton last Friday.
Receiver Samuel Giguere has been named the Canadian Player of the Week after his six catch, 90-yard effort led all Ticats receivers on Friday. Giguere currently ranks 10th in the CFL and second among Canadian players with 309 receiving yards.
Kicker Luca Congi is the Special Teams Player of the Week. Congi connected on all three of his field goal attempts at Commonwealth Stadium and averaged 63 yards per kickoff. This season, Congi has made 11 of 15 field goal attempts.
