The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that rookie running back/kick returner Lindsey Lamar has been named the Canadian Football League’s Special Teams Player of the Week.
Lamar began his CFL career in style on Friday night, returning a kickoff 104 yards for a touchdown on his first career touch. The South Florida product finished his night with a team-record 227 kickoff return yards, 18 punt return yards and 34 rushing yards.
Lamar and the Ticats host the Edmonton Eskimos at Alumni Stadium this Sunday, July 7 at 5 p.m.
