TORONTO — Highly touted prospect Matt Sewell is heading to the Toronto Argonauts. The Argos selected the hulking offensive lineman with the 8th overall pick of the first round of the 2013 CFL Draft.

The six-foot-eight, 335-pound Milton, ON native entered Draft day as arguably the best offensive lineman on the board, and with good reason too.

During his time at McMaster, Sewell earned second team CIS All-Canadian as well as first-team OUA All-Star honours in both 2012 and 2011, anchoring a Marauders offensive line to a Vanier Cup championship in 2011.

The Boatmen might have to wait a little to acquire Sewell’s services as he signed a rookie free agent contract with the NFL’s Tennessee Titans last week.
