Earlier today, Dave Stala, Ryan Hinds, Matt Bucknor, Luca Congi and Peter Dyakowski visited Regina Mundi Elementary School to kick off this year’s BeFit program.
The BeFit program sends Tiger-Cats players into classrooms to educate children in the Hamilton area about the importance of a physically active and healthy lifestyle. At each BeFit appearance, Tiger-Cats players deliver a healthy breakfast or snack and speak about the benefits of exercising and maintaining a healthy diet.
After reaching over 100 schools and more than 35,000 students in its first three years, the BeFit program will visit 50 more schools this year.
