The Hamilton Tiger-Cats battle the Montreal Alouettes at Ivor Wynne Stadium this Friday at 7 p.m.
Halftime will feature a cheer extravaganza performance by local youth dance groups and a tribute to Ticats legend Garney Henley.
Over the course of his incredible 16-year career, Henley was named an All-Canadian and Eastern all-star 10 times, appeared in seven Grey Cup games and earned four Grey Cup championships. He was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player in 1972, was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1979 and is featured on the Ticats Wall of Honour.
It all begins at the Beechwood Pre-Game Party. Beginning at 5 p.m., the Ticats will shut down Beechwood Avenue for a streetfest full of inflatable games, great eats and much more.
The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive a Stirling Print Solutions game roster/poster of defensive back Dee Webb with a donation to the Salvation Army. Fans will also be treated to giveaways from Axia3, Old Dutch and Fisherman’s Friend as they enter and exit the stadium.
