The accolades continue to pile up for Chris Williams during his record-setting season, as the Tiger-Cats receiver/kick returner has been named the CFL’s Special Teams Player of the Month for August.
In three games this month, Williams has returned 15 punts for 246 yards – an average of 16.4 yards per punt – and two touchdowns.
Williams has already established a new Tiger-Cats record and tied the CFL record (held by Henry ‘Gizmo’ Williams, Bashir Levingston and Keith Stokes) with five kick return touchdowns.
This season, Williams has earned two CFL Player of the Month awards and three CFL Player of the Week award.
