Burris Receives Second Straight Player of the Week Honour

For the second straight week, Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Henry Burris has been crowned the Canadian Football League’s Offensive Player of the Week.

Burris was the driving force behind last Saturday’s incredible come-from-behind 35-34 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders, throwing for 177 yards and three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.  Burris finished the contest by completing 29 of 40 pass attempts for 356 yards and four touchdowns – the second straight week in which he has thrown for four majors.

Burris is the first player to earn back-to-back Offensive Player of the Week honours since Milt Stegall in weeks 6 and 7 of the 2006 season.

This season, Burris has recorded 1,540 passing yards and a league-high 15 touchdowns while completing 69.7% of his passes.  He boasts a 15:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
