Facebook Q&A with Peter Dyakowski

Peter Dyakowski is the latest Tiger-Cat to field questions from our fans on Facebook as part of Ticats.ca’s Facebook Q&A

If you were in the Winter Olympics wich sport would you be playing? (From Clinton N.)
I would definetly do bobsledding. I might not fit very well though.

Have you been treated any differently by the other players after winning Canada’s smartest person? From Elvira C.)
Its been great, I go to restaurants and make reservations they actually have a secret room for me in the back.  Most people don’t know about it but they have it for the Prime Minister, Ron MacLean… people of that stature. Same thing with airplanes.  There is a class above first class.

Crane If you had to choose another career what would you want to be? (From Laura T.)
I would be a professional Male Gymnast.

Can you explain how e=mc2 (Anthony B.)
Yes I can.

What do you do on gameday to prepare for the game? (From Brendan J.)
It’s a very intense process that actually starts the day before. I have a ritual that I don’t want to go into detail about, but it lasts until 4 in the morning the night before the game. I then sleep for about half and hour before waking myself up for a 10 mile run in the early morning through the escarpment in the forest by the lake.  Afterwards I have a full vegan brekfast which includes sprouts, leafy greens, a few carrots, tomatoes and cucumbers.  Following that I go into a trance for several hours — this varies depending on the day. I don’t notice time going by so it ends up generally around three hours, near catatonic.  When I escape the trance I have my pregame meal which includes half an boiled egg, some dry toast and four ounces of orange juice. I then go to the stadium where I sit on top of the press box itself and meditate. When I am done I head down and everything is all normal until I sarcifice an animal. (Editor’s note: No animals are actually harmed during Peter’s gameday routine.)

What’s your favourite pre-game song? (From Marlies S.)
I like ‘Saturday Night’ by the Bay Street Rollers.
