After securing a victory against their archrivals last weekend, the Tiger-Cats will take part in another important East Division clash at Ivor Wynne Stadium this Saturday as they battle the Montreal Alouettes at 7 p.m. presented by VIA Rail.
As the Ticats continue to celebrate the Final Season at Ivor Wynne Stadium presented by Tim Hortons, they’ll host a special halftime tribute to a player that provided fans with plenty of memories during his 18 seasons in Black and Gold, Paul Osbaldiston.
During his lengthy Ticats career, ‘Ozzie’ established himself as one of the most prolific kicker and punters ever to suit up in the Canadian Football League. On top of playing the most games (296) and scoring the most points (2,856) in Ticats history, Osbaldiston owns 18 other team kicking records. His 54-yard game-winning kick in the 1998 East Division Final is pictured on this week’s game ticket.
The Junior Ticats Cheerleaders will also entertain fans at halftime.
The gameday experience begins at the Beechwood Pre-Game Party. Beginning at 5 p.m., the Ticats will shut down Beechwood Avenue for a streetfest full of inflatable games, great eats from Lick’s and much more.
The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive a Stirling Print Solutions game roster/poster of receiver Andy Fantuz with a donation to the Salvation Army.
Tickets are available by visiting Ticats.ca or calling the Ticats sales staff at 905-547-CATS.
