Numbers Game – Week One

With the Tiger-Cats set to kickoff the 2012 CFL season on Friday against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, we take a closer look at some of the interesting numbers surrounding the game. 

2: The number of rookie head coaches making their debut at Ivor Wynne on Friday night.

402: Number of yards Ticats QB Henry Burris threw for during the preseason in just three quarters of work.

6: Seasons spent with the Saskatchewan Roughriders by Ticats receiver Andy Fantuz.  After landing in Hamilton as a free agent on February 17, Fantuz will make his TigerTown debut on Friday night against his former squad.

166: Field goals made by current Ticats kicker Luca Congi during his five-year stint with the Roughriders.  Congi played 87 games with the Riders after being drafted 12th overall in 2006.

41,235: Henry Burris career passing yards.  With 121 passing yards on Friday, Burris will move past Doug Flutie (41,355) into sixth place on the CFL’s All-Time Passing Yards list.
