MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes didn’t have to look very far to find their first pick in the 2012 CFL Canadian Draft.

With the 11th overall pick, the Als selected Laval running back Patrick Lavoie.

Lavoie was one of five Laval products present at CFL Evaluation Camp in March. The six-foot-one, 240-pound Saint-Flavie, QC native had a strong showing at E-Camp, registering 18 reps on the bench press, while running a solid 4.80 in the 40-yard dash.

The Als had five other picks in the 2012 Draft and selected two other CIS products. With their fourth round pick, the Als took DB Lance Milton from UBC, and followed that choice up with Bishop’s OL Ryan White in the sixth round.

Montreal also selected DL Bo Adebayo out of Kentucky and LB Roy Bryn from Texas A&M Commerce.

The Alouettes concludedd their draft by selecting Kenyan Parker in the sixth round.
