Ticats Add Four More To Roster

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has signed import defensive backs Justin Boddie, Thad Turner and Marcus Walker, as well as non-import defensive lineman/long snapper Neil Puffer.

Boddie, a 6-2, 193-pound native of Atlanta, Georgia, played four seasons at Central Florida, making 137 tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles.  

Turner, a 6-0, 183-pound native of Marietta, Georgia, spent time with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals after four seasons at Ohio.  In 46 games at Ohio, Turner registered 105 tackles, three interceptions and two tackles for a loss.  He was named second team All-MAC in 2009.

Walker, a 5-11, 191-pound native of Waco, Texas, made 101 tackles, three interceptions and 12 pass breakups in four seasons at Oklahoma, earning All-Big 12 second-team honours in 2006.  Walker has previous pro experience with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings.  

Puffer, a 6-4, 220-pound native of Timmins, Ontario, played in 10 games with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2010 following his five-year CIS career at Queen’s.   He made 67 tackles and 11.5 quarterback sacks in 36 regular season games with the Golden Gaels.
