Hamilton Tiger-Cats legends Jake Gaudaur and Angelo Mosca are among the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame’s class of 2012.
Jake Gaudaur began his playing career in 1940 with the Hamilton Tigers.  After leaving the following year to join the RCAF and a stop in Toronto, Gaudaur rejoined the Tigers in 1948 and played with Hamilton until the 1954 season, when he became President of the Tiger-Cats.  Gaudaur would go on to become both President and General Manager of the club and lead the team to four (1957, 1963, 1965, 1967) Grey Cup championships, before leaving the club in 1967.

In 1968 Gaudaur became the CFL’s fourth commissioner, and served for 16 seasons until 1984.

Angelo Mosca played 12 seasons in Hamilton, earning five all-star nods and playing in 9 Grey Cups.  Mosca helped the defensive line of the Tiger-Cats become one of the most feared units in CFL history, winning four Grey Cups during his tenure.  Mosca was inducted into the CFL Hall of Fame in 1987.

The Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame strives to celebrate and promote athletes, teams, coaches, officials and builders who have achieved the highest standards of excellence while representing Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. And to recognize those whose contributions have been exemplary in the promotion of sport, as well as current athletes who are achieving significant standards.

Gaudaur and Mosca will join Ed Beattie, Doug Harrison, Florence Harvey, Robert Kerr, John McGrane, Jake Pelech and Chris Rogers in the Hall’s 2012 induction class.

The introduction of the Class of 2012 will be celebrated with a special pre-game presentation at the Hamilton Bulldogs final regular season game on Sunday, April 15 at 3:00pm at Copps Coliseum.
