Collins, Webb Sign Extensions With Ticats

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that import defensive backs Milt Collins and Dee Webb have signed contract extensions with the team.  Their new deals will keep them in Hamilton through the 2014 season.

Collins, a 6-1, 180-pound native of New Orleans, Louisiana, played in one regular season game and two playoff games with the Ticats after being acquired in a September trade with the Calgary Stampeders.

In 48 games over four CFL seasons, Collins has made 87 defensive tackles, eight interceptions and three quarterback sacks.

Webb, a 5-11, 190-pound native of Jacksonville, Florida, landed in Hamilton in October after being dealt from the Toronto Argonauts.  The Florida product started four regular season games and two playoff games following his arrival.  In 15 games during the 2011 season, Webb recorded 23 defensive tackles, seven special teams tackles and one interception.

Webb also has pro experience with the Calgary Stampeders, the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars as well as the AFL’s Jacksonville Sharks and Philadelphia Soul.
