The second annual Touchdown Dinner and Awards, hosted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, will take place on Tuesday, April 24 at Carmen’s Banquet Centre. This special event will honour teams from the TigerTown football community while raising money for local minor and junior football programs.
This year’s event will feature one of the best-known personalities in Canadian broadcasting and host of TSN’s Off the Record, Michael Landsberg. Landsberg will host an Off the Record style show at centre stage of Carmen’s with an impressive panel of guests that includes Ticats head coach and director of football operations George Cortez, quarterback Henry Burris, receiver Andy Fantuz and McMaster Marauders head coach Stefan Ptaszek.
All proceeds from the event will be used to assist those in our community who would not otherwise be able to participate in organized football programs due to financial constraints. Last year, the inaugural Touchdown Dinner and Awards raised over $23,000.
The event will kick off with a tailgate at 5:30pm before guests enjoy four quarters of dining and entertainment. A silent auction featuring plenty of items – including lots of unique football paraphernalia – will also be available on-site.
