Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that import receiver Bakari Grant has signed a contract extension while import receiver Terence Jeffers-Harris has signed a new deal after finishing the 2011 season on the team’s practice roster.

Grant, a 6-4, 195-pound native of Oakland, California caught 42 passes for 507 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games during his rookie season before adding 10 receptions for 184 yards and a major in two postseason games. His extension keeps him in Hamilton through the 2014 season.
“Bakari showed a lot of promise last season. With his size, speed, and ability, he has the potential to be a great receiver in this league,” said vice president of football operations Bob O’Billovich.
Harris, a 6-2, 216-pound native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, made 77 receptions for 894 yards and six touchdowns in 19 games over the course of the 2010 and 2011 seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers before joining the Ticats practice roster last November.
“Terence is a talented, physical player that brings an element of toughness to our receiving corps,” remarked O’Billovich.
